Affordable creative wedding photographer wanted

The other reason I said that Bobster had the wrong attitude is because the photographer is only one of the many suppliers on the day. and it should be the bride's day.

It is not reasonable for any suppler to suddenly withdraw their services, or cancel cancel without waring except in the most extreme circumstances.

Imagine if the caters decided to pack up and leave half way through because the the cheif took offence to some one's auntie putting half a salt cellar on the their creation, Or the musicians taking offence a people talking over the music they are playing.

If I spotted a clause in a contract that allowed any suppler to walk off like that, I would insist that it be removed or I would find another supplier.

the point is that is, the photographer is trying to gain the attention of whoever is being taken at the time, its no good if mr or mrs joe blogs with their camera is standing behind them - where are the peoples eyes going to be looking? at the photographer or aunt mable / cousin bill with their camera? that is why after the shot is taken we allow a slight pause with the groups so that family/firends have a brief moment to get a shot..

i've had 1 wedding where a boyfriend of the bridesmaid had his DSLR and decided to stand slightly behind me while i composed a shot, i turned to him and said "if you want to take over be my guest, because if your going to continue doing that i'm leaving" and smiled, he appologised and moved away - he shot a few shots of his own while we composed the next shot..

in June had a guy who used to work at an ad agency in london boasting away about his photographers etc etc. had his 10mpx P+S camera, and after every shot i took he'd step in and say "thanks for doing the hard work" smile raise his camera and take a snap - he ended up buying 20 shots from me..

if your hiring a photographer for that reason - then you're pics are going to look really bad! you need to hire the photographer based on their skill with the equipment they use as well as their eye for a good composition.. having a £2,000 of camera is squat unless you know how to use it correctly

so i and 1,000's of Pro Photographers have the wrong attitude? good one ;)

you're wrong it isn't the brides day its the couples day - that is why i and all the other photographers who are hired to complete a job do so in a professional manner, but if someone is in our way of trying to do our best and we don't cover ourselves, who will be to blame when the shots come out and people are looking or smiling at aunt maud with her point and shoot?

abosolutely, surely it's in the couple's best interests to have the crowd looking at the pro photog, or what's the point in paying the small (justified) fortune required.

the other thing to remember is that joe blogs can't usually use flash. for me some of the best wedding shots are fantastically lit and require some serious flash experience.

how did you managed ? is your marriage happy ? :)

While that's a fair question, I'll just point out for anyone else reading this .... this thread is 5 years old. So anyone offering suggestions for photographers has .... erm .... missed the boat. ;)

you should check for some wedding vendors .. ( check here : the-weddingvendors.com/ ) i`m sure they can help you in finding the appropriate wedding photographer or other related needs for your wedding day :)

Aside from the obvious necro-ing of a thread to post a link....

now we've read the thread again ( 5 years later) , can the OP post a wedding photo to give us all closure ? :)
