    Cables for CS450M

    Hi guys,

I recently purchased the PSU model stated in the title from scan. The peripheral cables it came with are 2 x SATA and 1 x Molex and 1 x PCI-E.

I notice on the shell of the PSU that it says:
    6+2 PCI-E
    & 4+4 CPU.

I'm actually planning to use this PSU with a dual processor board (2 x 60W CPUs) which requires 2 x EPS 12v power supplies. Is there anyway that I can get a cable that uses the unutilised PCI-E output for an additional EPS connector, or get an additional molex adaptors to replace the SATA ones so that I can use a dual Molex to EPS adapter (would rather not use the 2 connectors from the same cable)?

I might just get an EPS connector from a modding shop and repin the PCI-E cable myself.

Sorry if I missed your post. I'd normally get notification if there's a new thread, but for some reason, I didn't get any last week.

Anyway, to answer your question. You'll need something like this. I just checked Scan, and they don't seem to carry a similar adapter.

    Re: Cables for CS450M

I have ordered something like this so that I can test, however I'm anal, I want it to be 'nice' AND the power supply does specifically say on the output for the PCI that it can be EPS.

Is it possible to get the pinout for the connector on the back on the PSU so that I dont have to play around with a multimeter?

    Re: Cables for CS450M

Chance is they have a cable for another model that used the same modular plugs?

When I got my GTX980 I wanted a cable to go from the GPU 5 pin fan out (twin fans) to standard 4 pin PWM so I could control a pump and fans for the watercooling, they were one of very few companies to offer such a thing, 2 pins had to be swapped to meet the Asus standard but very good for oddball bits.

    Re: Cables for CS450M

After a bit of research, it seems that its not possible to repin the supplied PCI-E 6+2 into an EPS 12v as they use 3 x 12v and 4 x 12v respectively.

Whilst looking into this I also saw that the connector end that goes into the PSU says, 'Type 3', which got me thinking... is this basically the information I need to find the correct cables as GoNz0 suggested?

According to this cable pack's compatibility section at the bottom and this page on the Corsair UK site, the answer is yes... so what I need is a corsair 'type 3' EPS cable..... like this official one that corsair supply :/

Cant find this available anywhere in the UK though but at least it gives me more information so that I can contact Moddiy

Edit - Holy poop! If I order from Moddiy the postage is just as much as the blooming cable! Didn't realise it would come from Hong Kong, I'll keep looking I think

Submit an RMA request for that cable then post your ticket # and I'll have one sent over to you.
