big brand, can install new motherboard?

hello i have an aging fujitsu-seimens scaleo t desktop. nice case plenty of space.
    socket 478, p4 prescott at 3.4ghz

my question is does the case allow only oem motherboards to be fitted or can i get myself a motherboard and plonk it in, then change the ram and cpu of course and there, i have an ugrade. or is it a little bit more complicated than that?

i was going to sell it but it might be less hasle just to change a few componants.

    any experiences and advice please.

    thanks

as you can see from Scaleo T it looks like F-S use pretty standard mobos (albeit they may have custom BIOS etc.) so you can probably just swap out for an equivalent form factor size mobo.

Depending upon your upgrades though you may also need to upgrade your PSU.

so long as it's a standard atx board in there there should be no problem. i swapped the board in my parents scaleo 600 a few weeks ago
