    laptop cpu comparison? which one....

So currently i have in my possesion the hp dv6-6152ea, it should have been the dv6-6153ea.

They sent the wrong laptop, anyway i've been wondering, there is about £80 difference in the models but....the systems are the same in every way except the hdd (which is not a problem) but mainly the cpu...

one has the core i3 2310m whilst the other has the core i5 2410m.

I'm intent on doing some light gaming, dirt 3, mass effect 1-2 unreal tournament and deus ex..

Would i really notice the difference? anyone have any idea? im so stuck

Theirs actually a fairly big difference, the i3 chip has no turbo so is locked at 2.1ghz while the i5 is clocked at 2.3ghz base but can turbo to 2.9ghz, the GPU is also higher clocked so performs slightly better.

    Comparison here:

If that's true - i.e. you ordered the correct one and they have sent you the wrong item - contact them, tell them that they've made a mistake, and insist that they collect the laptop without causing inconvenience to you, and issue the correct one.

Don't really understand why you haven't already done that, tbh... especially if the laptop they've sent you is cheaper than the one you ordered, so you're out of pocket...

i would but they wont, they instead credit the account, i will have to wait for the credit to go onto the account before i can reorder it!

Kick up a fuss, there is no reason you should have to be inconvenienced by their mistake. It should be a simple swap out.
