Looking for a cheapish laptop

My laptop got stolen on Wednesday when my house was broken into so I'm looking for a cheapish replacement.

I mainly use it for music and DMX controller when doing mobile discos but would also use it for web browsing and IPTV stuff.

My main requirements are :

Decent processor (needs to be able to run multiple programs)
4Gb Ram
Some Storage (this is a difficult one as I am tempted to fit an ssd to it and then go with an external drive, mainly making it easier to sync files with my main desktop machine)

Anyone got any ideas, know of cheap deals etc?

Sorry to hear about your break-in Hope you had insurance and hope they get cought!

If you don't mind a 11.6" screen then the Lenovo x121e with intel i3 is £337.67 (don't know if this is considered cheapish, but I think its a decent pricve). CPU is multi threaded and HD 3000 is enough to play HD videos.

Going through topcashback will give you another £10-12 at some point. SSD on a laptop would be a great choice so 8GB RAM (about £30) is recommended, which means you can turn down the page file and recover some space on the precious SSD. Although just adding another 2GB to make 4 GB would probably do too.

How do you feel about Dell outlet ?

Not bad. I have used them before as well. I can also get onto an employee purchase program for Dell but once spec'd, none of their laptops appeared to be that cheap. I'll check the outlet out tonight.
