new pc needed

Hi guys this is my first proper post and computer teck is really unknown to me at the moment. I used to know abit but now im looking to spend abit of cash I need some proper advice.
With the release of diablo 3 coming up a new computer is needed.( the one I have is in no condition to upgrade so im not going to waste my time bought it secong hand in 2003)

But I know there are people out there know mess things about to make it look really powerful when actually its s**t

Is it worth it?
Can u suggest any thing for around the same price?

Self building is worth it if you have the time/patience (experience is useful, but not 100% necessary) or you could head to one of the many system builders out there (Scan's 3XS systems are an oft cited example) - depends whether you want a turnkey system or to have a bit of fun building it.

The main things to watch out for are cheap OEM PSUs and Double RAM Graphics cards.
