Hi all, need some help to resolve issues.

I have a packard bell TJ71 laptop which has stop working. Don't know why.
The problem is, even though it is dead the battery charging light is still on when battery is connected.
So I am thinking the board is not totally dead and the charger is working so is the battery.
Test memory in another laptop and it works fine, which leave me thinking dead cpu.
Got another cpu but still won't boot.

Could the power button be broken? Is this a common fault?
