Scan not doing 2500k bundles ?

Its all 3450 now , which for all intent purposes sounds worse overall.

Is there anywhere else offering 2500k bundles , that possibly include some cover for accidents /installation ?

I dont really want to risk anything if i screw up , yet Im also wondering what would happen if i did considering some places like amazon are surely not setup to test everything that comes back ..

Given I only have gpu , soundcard and case might be just as well even selling them if theirs some decent deals for pcs too provided the case isnt crap so cramped its hard to replace things. Overclocking isnt essential but it would be nice as an option , then again spending more might mean less hassle ..

Re: Scan not doing 2500k bundles ?

They have 3570k etc. bundles, which is equivalent.

If you screw up, yet return the item to somewhere like Amazon as dead on arrival or faulty as sold then you are committing fraud. Besides, places like Amazon will use third-party experts to assess items where needed, so even if you were able to take advantage of their very generous goodwill, you will be eroding that will for the rest of us.

If you are worried about damaging components then buy house contents insurance that covers accidental damage, or take out additional insurance to cover the parts you are buying.

    Or buy a pre-built system.

You can always find a local computer shop to do it for around twenty quid, after blowing my first I've always done this

Re: Scan not doing 2500k bundles ?

Maybe I'm missing something but apart from the extra overclocking headroom the 3570k is a superior chip with a much fuller feature set, unless you are absolutely focused on pushing the chip to within a inch of its life get the 3570k.

Apparantly the recent batch of 2500K are not that great for overclocking.
TBH with the very little price difference the OP is better off getting a 3570K.

I've just had to make the choice between 3570k and 2500k for my new build. Theres not a huge amount in it but the 3570 edges it and for the price difference you might aswell get the ivy bridge.

Re: Scan not doing 2500k bundles ?

If the exact combination of what you want in one of the overclocked bundles is not listed on the website, we can generate customised OC bundle quotations based around the exact hardware you want.

If you ring us with the list of the parts your after the quote for, or even drop us a query using the sales OLQ page Here we can get the customised quotations generated.

    Best Regards,

Re: Scan not doing 2500k bundles ?

just get one of the many 3570k bundles instead. ever so slightly superior CPU but runs at lower W and it's IB for like £10 more.
