    Windows 7 Laptops?

    Hey,
I'm looking to buy a laptop, but it has to be windows 7 (and not 8). But from the places I've looked at all the decent spec laptops have had windows 8.

Basically I need a relatively high spec laptop with dedicated GPU, ~8GB ram, ideally 14" and 1920 x 1080 or greater resolution. SSD would be awesome but not essential.

Does such a system exist from a reputable (dell, lenovo, toshiba, samsung, etc; possibly not what you call reputable but yeah, one of them) brands with windows 7?

    Thanks

    EDIT
I'm guessing if I buy a laptop in a few months and not now I'll have to shell out £70 or whatever it is windows 7 licenses are going for? because they're all using the inferior operating system...?

I just wondering if you going to buy a laptop from curry or PC world could you ask them to get Win 7 instead of Win 8?
Mostly I see the new laptop come with Win 8.

    Re: Windows 7 Laptops?

Buy a laptop with Windows 8 Pro and use the downgrade rights:
    http://www.microsoft.com/oem/en-gb/l...id=GRXFDBiHs6c
OEM versions of Windows 8 eligible for downgrade

Windows 8 Pro includes downgrade rights to:
    Windows 7 Professional
    Windows Vista Business
The downgrade only applies to OEM purchased installations. Which is all laptops - just pointing this out because it doesn't apply to building your own desktop.

    Re: Windows 7 Laptops?

Oh, just to add: though likely to become more common as time goes on, even now there are some stories about laptops whose hardware doesn't even Windows 7 drivers. I know I came across such a case but I cannot find the specifics atm, but anyhow the point is: be cautions and research any laptop you want downgrade.
