Question HDD to SSD usb ESATA connector?

Hi I bought a Y580 and it just recently came in, so I decided to install an intel 335 series 240gb ssd into it. My problem is that I need to transfer all my files over to my new ssd but I don't have the proper cables as they gave me desktop transfer cables, does anyone know the proper cable(s) I need in order to transfer these files? (only reason I don't do a fresh install is I've heard there can be problems with a few of Lenovo's special keys if you do)

Either connect the drives up to a pc and clone the drive there, or get an external drive enclosure and attach that to the laptop and then clone the drive that way.

    Edit:
Hold on what? guess im tired but the title makes it sound like you already have an enclosure or already know what you need :S

Re: HDD to SSD usb ESATA connector?

Heyo, on my phone responding here. OK so here's an update; I decided to use the recovery tool on windows 8 with the idea that I could simply install it onto the SSD by using a USB. Was this a mistake? as I've never used windows 8 before this so I wasn't too positive whether or not using the "windows recovery" option would work on a brand new drive. thanks !

And to reply to the gentleman above, I wasn't positive whether I had the correct cord or not! but I suppose that isn't relevant anymore, thanks for the answer anyways!
