Small laptop with 3G
Hi All,
After a bit of advice. The current customer site I'm on has woefully slow and restricted web access, so I'm looking for a netbook with a 3G card built in. It doesn't have to be powerful, it will only be used for light browsing, and IM really, and my MacBook Pro is a bit..... obvious....
Can anyone recommend something smaller? I'm guessing something like the Dell Mini 9 would be perfect, but am after alternatives to check out.
Regards....

Re: Small laptop with 3G
Are you looking for brand new only?
If not, from my personal experience with laptops, I would go with a Thinkpad X61s (with 3G modem) - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/IBM-Lenovo...item5d39963bff
Or maybe if new, the Thinkpad X121e with the optional WWAN module - http://shop.lenovo.com/gbweb/GB/en/l...tel/index.html
I've had a second hand X60s for years now (not WWAN enabled mind you) and I love it. Ugly little trooper which is great if being lugged around a lot.

Why not use your phone as a hotspot? Then you're not restricted to netbooks with 3g.

Re: Small laptop with 3G
Could do, but as I have a 3G data card, I may as well use it. TBH It's far less hassle too. If there's a _REALLY_ compelling netbook without, I'd consider it.

Re: Small laptop with 3G
Would a USB 3G adapter not do? It would certainly be the cheapest option...
