    front panel audio

    i cant figure out which pin goes where i have an asus m5a78l lmx plus motherboard and an a top xblade case and im trying to get the front panel audio to work but the pin names on the case are conffusing
    the pins are ear r, ear r, ear l, ear l, mic data, mic vcc, ground

    Check your motherboard manual, it will tell you what pins from your case' FP audio goes to which pins on your motherboard FP socket.

    i did and i put them in the right spot for both ac 97 and hd audio and changed the stettings in the bios as well but i can get the realtek sound manager to recognize when something is jplugged into the mic and headphone jack but i still dont get any sound im just confused because of the names on the case pins
