Re: Laptop for little sister
I've been on the hunt for one for Uni starting back too and I'd have a look at the Dell website. Some decent options there for £400.

Yeah alot of those look good. I am just wondering though whether that Asus x55c on ebuyer for £289 can be beaten in terms of price. Like i said if it can play sims and she can browse the internet she'll be happy. I suppose I should have said closer to the £300 mark is better.
Re: Laptop for little sister
I just checked that out and that does seem like a great deal. I may even consider that one myself :)

Ebuyer have this Toshiba for £209 (after £50 cashback):

EDIT: just read the small print and apparently you have to trade in an old laptop.

Also worth looking at the Misco site openbox products (www.misco.co.uk). I have bought a number of items from them over the years and had no problems. Note that because they are openbox (customer or manufacturer returns) they have a limited warranty but you will know if they are working OK pretty quickly :)
