Please help spec me haswell i5 4670k
Hello
I would really like some recommendations on components for a build.
I know roughly what I'd like but I would like some verification it would all be compatible.
This will be the first build I have actually ever done but I feel it's necessary to do.
I would like a i5 4670k, GTX 770 (ability to sli later), 850w psu and 8gb ram.
The case I will be installing everything into is the 600T Corsair I think it looks fantastic seems ideal for me to build for.
If I could have some help perhaps picking components, I would very much appreciate it, I'm hoping to build around £1,000.
Thanks!

ok, there will be others who will give you chapter and verse but my approach on a system build is start with a list of what you want the machine to do for you. Then go backwards from there to work out what components you want. For example my list is usually:
Primary requirements:
Silent (ie able to run it at night, under load, without hearing it)
good all-rounder which will allow gaming, photo-editing and CAD/matlab programming
As Small+portable a case as possible without hamstringing the machine
durable - no cheap ass components that won't last
Silent
Low temperatures - so good cooling
and did i mention silent?
Secondary requirements
energy efficiency
bang for buck - what offers best performance vs its price. Not nec what is cheapest for a given component
future proofing. What will be the default port requirement in 2 years time? (eg when I bought mine a few years back it was just before USB3 was out, but I made sure my mobo and case had it even though it cost me a bit more - cheaper than a new mobo and case adaptor down the line.)
connectivity - number of ports etc
peripherals
does your budget need to include OS, keyboard, speakers, monitors, mice, printers/scanners, etc etc or is the full amount just for the PC itself?
Not saying your choices above need changing necessarily, but it's hard to advise when we don't know what it is you want the machine to achieve.

Motherboard, get a nice Gigabyte or Asus board imo.
This is the ATX version of the board I have:

RAM
Personally I'd go for two of these:

Surprisingly pretty (could even combine it with an Asus board for colour matching!) and more importantly overclocks really well.
PSU
You certainly don't need 850w, lets say 750w to be extra safe, lots of choice here but as a mid range choice:

This yellow, gold theme seems to be going well! Maybe get this Asus board!

Graphics card wise, again there is a lot of choice, this card reviewed very well on Hexus:

You'll want some sort of SSD I assume?
Re: Please help spec me haswell i5 4670k
I could suggest the MSI and AsRock MoBos (only used from these two manufacturers in recent years).
I second the RAM choice. On Haswell I would say you should be able to OC them to 2133-2200Mhz with default timings to that frequency and at 1.5-1.65V.
The PSU is a excellent choice, even if I find it a bit too expensive.
Can't contribute to the GPU (used only AMD and mostly from XFX).
