Looks good.
For max settings you may need a GPU with more memory.
Games are starting to use more these days.
I think Titanfall wants 3gb min for insane textures.

All from overclockers.
Newest and faster with unlocked multiplier on the cpu. Newest model board for best compatibility.
3 gig 280x also can use mantle for boost in certain games.
256 gig ssd may be slightly slower in write peed but twice the capacity you specced. You will be surprised how quickly you fill a ssd up.
Much faster speed ram although a nasty colour you case has no window.
Gold rated psu.
Different case in the same style mainly to save money.
CPU cooler as the OEM has no cooler supplied which the stock one is pants anyway.
Asus mouse as the m500 isnt a 'gaming' mouse. The G500 is the gaming mouse.
Savings.
Drop the chip to the older haswell version will also save £10. Buy the 2 tb driver later unless you really need the storage now.
Re: Building a gaming pc for the first time, what do you guys think?
Could go a tiny bit higher on the CPU/Motherboard, but everything else looks good!
Should be able to play any game on "Ultra" averaging 60fps.
I say averaging because most games will easily max out, but hardware requirements in newer games like BF4 and Watch Dogs have jumped up quite a bit, but even then you may still get 60, I'm not sure.
Re: Building a gaming pc for the first time, what do you guys think?
Get the baracuda 3tb, much better speeds I found.
Re: Building a gaming pc for the first time, what do you guys think?
I'd get a higher storage SSD if I were you. You'll notice the difference in games. It can depends on how big your games collection is though - I managed to fit all my documents, windows 7 as well as games on my 840 EVO 250GB including WoW, Rome II, Splinter Cell Blacklist, Assassins Creed Black Flag and a few others to boot.
A transition to 4th gen Intel processors and running an SSD only option will also help on overall electricity costs as well if you consider upfront costs vs long term running costs.
