Any bargains in the £350 range

Sister in law is looking for a new laptop around £350 or cheaper must run windows and be 15" or larger, no games only general use e,g web browsing light office and maybe Photoshop use.

They were looking at this Hp 15-g092sa or the 15-g260sa, but I'm lost with the amd cpu's and could only advise them about the ram.

    Any ideas ?

    Thanks

I know very little about laptops.

HUKD may be worth looking at for bargains.

    Here's one someone found.

Dell outlet perhaps. I would definitely read some reviews as the one I linked has attracted some unhappy buyers on the i7 model.

Older laptops 2nd hand are very cheap with c2ds on eBay for going for very little. Battery life will suck though.

The screen is the most important thing you need to be looking at for image editing.

What sort of Photoshop work would she be using it for? Are we talking simple contrast, colour correction and cropping or are we talking about editing RAW files and using multiple layers etc...

If it's the simple correct and crop then she would be ok with most laptops around that price but for the more intensive work she might find a mid range laptop of around £600 to $800 to be a better option.

Thanks for the reply I asked her and what it's for it for is that she is into embroidery ( machine ) and she said that she needs to be able to change and convert photos so that she can the embroider them.

Re: Any bargains in the £350 range

I've seen the Lenovo B5030 being listed as some sort of a laptop deal in AU. Couldn't it find it for the same price in UK, but for 150£ you might as well just import the little guy.
