Wanting a new system, HELP

Hello,
Im intrested in making a second shuttle by myself, (first one made by shuttle.com), and i am very excited. My budget is arounf 1000-1200, and i want a very powerful gamimg machine. I think AMD is a good choice for gamimg, and my current shuttle runs well, and i want another one comparative to its performance, (AMD 3500+, Sapphire x800-pro, !gb of kingston dual channel, ect.) I maybe want to try out Nvidia, but i dont know if the newest cards will be in my budget with the price of the case+mobo, ram, and a good processor. Can someone list some spects that would be in my budget, and perform about the same as my current shuttle?
