Another 7th Gen gaming laptop question.

I've been saving and waiting and I had hoped that Asus would do a 7th Gen i7 with either the GTX 1050 / 1060 with the G series chassis, sadly all I can find is the G series with a 6th gen i7, GTX1060 or the GL Strix chassis with a 7th gen i7 and GTX 1050.

I suppose my questions are two fold

1. Are Asus going to release a G series chassis with 7th gen i7 and a GTX 1060 or 1050 ?

2. Anyone have any alternative recommendations for the following spec...

i7 7700 (7820 preferred), 16GB or 32GB (must be upgradable to 32GB), 256GB SSD + 1TB, 17" good quality screen, G-Sync is something happy to pay a little extra for, GTX 1050 or 1060 (do not want a 1070 or 1080), backlit keyboard. Size, weight, battery life and track pad are irrelevant but must be compatible with an external GPU enclosure like the graphics amplifier, Asus ROG XG Station 2 or similar.

I currently have an i7 6700, 32GB, GTX 980Ti gaming desktop and a Toshiba S70 i7 4700, 16GB, R9 265x laptop used as a workstation and I can no longer afford to maintain two high end machines and space is also an issue. I would like a high quality upper mid range laptop for working (capable of compiling 4k video at a reasonable speed) and I would like the graphics dock/amplifier for gaming.
