Please check PC spec...!
Hi
Can you lovely people please have a look at this and tell me your opinion! I wanted a PC built for about £1000 (cash)! It needed to be for Gaming, Music & Watching & burning DVD's.This is the spec i got from a well known Co. Do you think i could get them to lower the price or get them to add something else to the package. Also are the component prices are ok,and also should i go for one of those future proof pci-e Mobo's? :undecided Any other suggestions would be welcome!

9800 pros can be picked up 2nd hand much cheaper than that now, and that monitor is overpriced - if i were you i'd get them to supply the base unit but buy the monitor yourself. 10ms Iiyama 17" panels with DVI are about £190 @ MicroDirect. Crucial memory, direct from crucial, would be £93 for the pair. CPU costs £99-£101 at most places.
I suppose if they're building it etc you can't dictate their prices, you could always buy the hardware yourself and pay someone you know to build it for you?
Anyway, HTH

You can get a decent 19" TFT for £230, try the Dell 1905FP. A bit blurry compared to a 10ms 17" screen but doesn't distract from gaming and 19" makes a big difference...great colours and contrast too, much better than any other TFT i've ever owned.
