    Student Laptop Advice

Hi guys my +10yrs Dell m1330 is starting to fall apart I've highlighted 2 laptops as potential replacements which are the Dell Inspiron 13 7370 and HP Pavilion Pro 14-bf153sa any advice would be much appreciated. I will mainly need the laptop to be able to run software such as SPSS STATA and excel and also light enough to carry round with me so I can watch TV series on my breaks.

On paper the HP looks to be good value but I have never owned an HP laptop so I am not sure on its long run reliability whereas my old Dell has lasted a long time.

When it comes to longterm support after the warranty runs out,I find HP very hit and miss, but YMMV.

I would personally more likely opt for the Dell. John Lewis are doing the Dell brand new for £100 more than the refurb you linked to:

I assume you don't really game as both won't be the best for anything graphically intensive.

Cheers for that I'll have a look at the Dell I've got a gaming PC so graphics aren't really priority for the laptop maybe just football manager

Acer aspire models are budget-friendly also and have good specs.
