Laptop with budget of £250-£300 to play sims 4?

My cousin is after a laptop for his daughter to do homework on and play Sims 4 sometimes, Would anyone know if its possible to get a good one for £250-300? many thx

I saw some refurbished ones on ebay Based on the Ryzen 3 for £300, but do intel compete at that level at all?

Not for anything requiring graphics beyond basic desktop stuff. Refurb Ryzen 3 is the best plan I think.

Probably a Ryzen 3 or Ryzen 5 laptop but it needs to have dual channel memory.

    Edit!!

The Athlon 300U is essentially a Ryzen 3 too.

He went with the Ryzen 5 but the screen is smaller i said try to get 15.6" but he got 14" and its not dual channel, but has expansion so maybe another 8gb later might help.

I saw this on14" HP on Ebay:
    https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/HP-14-cm0...QAAOSwKHtdchom

Crucial memory tool says it supports dual channel:
    https://uk.crucial.com/compatible-up...hp-14-cm0597sa

The 3200U has another SODIMM slot.

You will need to add another 4GB SODIMM. The SSD is a bit small, but appears to be an M2 SSD.

I didn't see your reply before I replied - but does it have another SODIMM slot??

The Crucial website should be able to tell you,if its not easy to find. What model is it??

Yeah he went over his budget too..
I think it has 8GB of soldered RAM and one free slot:

    https://forums.lenovo.com/t5/Lenovo-...y/td-p/4328948

It has the 81B1001EUK part number. You can add some more RAM so it is in dual channel:
