    Just seen this thread, if you fancy staying the open source side of the fence then a System76 Lemur Pro might do the trick. They are intel based but the roll their own firmware, hardware and OS. PopOs is a pretty slick Ubuntu derivative but they will supply it with Ubuntu and ship to the UK.

    Dell XPS 13 all the way. Consistently the market leader in this segment according to 95% of reviewers.
