Upgrade long time coming patience might not be a virtue

I'm still using an i7 930@4ghz 12gb ram with msi Rx 480 8gb/gigabyte X58A UD3R Mobo I got from overclockers UK in June 2010 for £1500.I preordered placed an order for a prebuilt from scan uk on 18/09/21, estimated delivery around 08/11/21 it's a 3xs sytem with ryzen 9 5900x liquid cooled h100x/32gb corsair vengeance ddr4 3200mhz /Asus Rog strix b550 F gaming Mobo /EVGA 3090 24gb ftw3 ultra gaming/ICUE 220T rgb mid case/1tb WD SN550 nvme m.2 gen 3 /2tb seagate barracuda hdd/Corsair 850w psu.Seriously thinking about calling them in next couple of days to cancel. Why wait for month half at least for this sytem paying premium price £3099.98 for a system with a Gpu with junk innards=( EVGA 3090 ftw3 ultra gaming) =lot's of widespread videos and feedback suggest such ?Christ my crappy old weedy 8gb Rx 480 has been fine for 5-6 years 2k gaming max settings only at 30fps. That's why I need a new pc as my current Rigg blue screens often .Can just picture playing farcry 6 or Breakpoint whatever 4k maxed out and that super expensive gpu( EVGA 3090 ftw3 ultra gaming) dying just a waste of money and time and I see Scan Uk don't give you the gpu box. If I am dumb enough to stick with my preorder better get one as I'll need it for the RMA or will I be sending the entire system back. EVGA apparently do replace your gpu think UK are last on their list hmmmm... I need to think very carefully, I've waited a long time for an upgrade

You can get reasonable prebuilt systems with a Ryzen 5 5600X and an RTX3060TI/RX6600XT for around £1000.

It's not the price I've issue with it's the reliability of the GPU this system is to last me for many many years like my current i7 2nd gen has, I expect the ryzen 9 5900x will it's the GPU at question it's got the power and vram just what others are saying RMA wise

Maybe it makes more sense just to get the base system right, and get a slower more reliable dGPU? Maybe an RTX3070 or RTX3080? Nothing stopping you putting in a faster dGPU later on.

Then go for a different system like cat suggests?

If you're UK based then you've got some protection with CCR so you shouldn't have to return anything to EVGA, you can return to the retailer.

Yeah I'm Glasgow Scotland UK based I definitely want the top gpu guess it's up to me ultimately it's a 50 50 fingers crossed silicon lottery on OCP system of the evga 3000 series Apparently I can cancel to before November 8th when the process goes to stage 3.build. So this is only way to get a top gpu albeit EVGA who'll have me sending gpus back and fourth until they refund me please no.If I do cancel then I'd just stick playing with my ancient current
