Who makes the XFX 850 Core Ed for XFX?

Anyone got any idea who makes the afore mentioned psu, i have scoured the t'interwebs but can't seem to find anything on who actually manufactures any of the XFX psu's.

Edit: - Seems they are Seasonic.

    Yes they are.
The Pro Core Editions use the same internal design as the Corsair TXV2s and NZXT Hale82s (minus the modular interface).

Re: Who makes the XFX 850 Core Ed for XFX?

The platform is the seasonic S12II Bronze, the PWM chip in the XFX units is custom calibrated, this leads to higher voltages on the 12v rail when the load on that ral is low, more than any other unit based on the S12II bronze platform.
This is not really an issue with any modern pc as the majority of the load is now on the 12v but it is something to be aware of and could potentially cause issues if you're greatly over specing your psu.
This is a fairly standard practice on PSU's and nothing to be unduly concerned over, it's still within ATX standards, just something to be aware of.
The reason it was done is to improve the stability and reduce voltage drop when the 12v load is very high to maxed out.
Given that all S12II bronze units do it to a smaller degree, it was a bit odd that XFX seems to have increased the over volt.

Re: Who makes the XFX 850 Core Ed for XFX?

Does anyone know if the Seasonic base holds true throughout the range? It's not something that's changed later, for instance?

I was looking at considerably lower capacity PSUs the other day when a comment had me seek out reviews, where I confirmed what had been surprising news regarding Seasonic and XFX.
