Advice needed please

One question on this:

If I buy a new PSU, stick it in my PC and still have the same problem, then will the seller accept it back and refund me? This may be a daft question, but I'm a bit cautious, having returned the other gear & had it sent back to me because it tests OK.

They should do under DSR as longs as its within 7 days(or is it 14 I cant remember). I would definatly go with a new psu as the old one could be failing and this is the sign of it.

If a hard drive was failing the machine would still post.

has the HD6850 got 2 Pci-e 6pin connectors if so one of your +12v rails is not supplying enough wattage/amps to the card i would buy a new PSU as a recommendation something like this would be fine

and its 7 days from reciept of goods for DSR for anyones info just look up Distance selling regulations for further info....

Yes, it does have 2 connectors & I believe you've hit the nail on the head with the problem! Gonna buy new PSU tomorrow
