The GX lite series PSU's from CoolerMaster are just toned down versions of the excellent GX series units. They are made slightly cheaper but not so cheap that the power supply will die in a matter of seconds. It's a fine power supply for the price, but there are better ones out there. If you saved a little bit more, you could have got an XFX core 550W PSU for less than £60 / $90. It has more connectors, is better made and has the 80+ bronze rating, meaning it is more efficient.
Review for the each member of the GX-lite series so far (500, 600 & 700W):

It shows that the 500W and 600W version uses the same internal design and have similar performance, which isn't that good as it is group regulated, ripple and noise suppression isn't good either.
The 700W version on the other hand is independantly regulated and performs better, so if the price is low enough then it is a decent option, but I don't think this is true for either the 500 or 600W versions.
Also they are not at all related to the GX series, as those were built either by Seventeam (original, part number RS-**0-ACAA-E3) or Enhance (otherwise known as GX Bronze, with the part number RS-**0-ACAA-D3). Whereas GX-lite are ATNG.
The GX series is not excellent by any stretch either. The GX-750W (RS-750-ACAA-E3) got bashed so much in reviews that Cooler Master decided to replace the Seventeam built models with Enhance built models, which still didn't do that well at 750W. The lower wattage, Enhance built models are okay if the price is right.
