    Which of these PSUs?

Any views on which of these 80%+ PSUs would be best for a pentium dual core (possible later upgrade to i3), with 2 hdds (one ssd), dvd drive and basic graphics card. I assume the be quiet 350w would be sufficient. I was going to get the 430w bequiet but its out of stock. It needs to be in stock now as i'm buying this weekend.

    Been looking at these:

be quiet! BN104 Pure Power L7 350W Power Supply £34.02 (scan)
    400W Antec High Current Gamer HGC-400, 88% Eff'£39.95 (scan)
Silverstone Strider SST-ST40F-ES 400W Power Supply (PSU) £37.68 (scan)
OCZ 500W CoreXStream PSU £34.98 (ebuyer)
Corsair 430W V2 CX Series PSU £36.18 (ebuyer)

or should i spend extra and get the 530W be quiet! £44.39 (scan)

    cheers!

This would be fine as your upgrading your system at some point http://www.scan.co.uk/products/650w-...5mm-quiet-fan-

650W would be too high and wasteful in terms both of upfront cost and efficiency, so I don't agree with your recommendation.

350W is plenty as OP has already concluded, of the possible options the Antec would be my top choice but they're all pretty good.

@c12038 I'm only looking to run a general pc - no gaming etc so i think that 750w will be a bit much - nice psu though!

thanks Kalniel, will grab the antec 400w !
    cheers!

    Re: Which of these PSUs?

Hi Cat_the_fifth, thanks for your post

placed the order and went for the antec 400w with:

    Gigabyte GA-B75M-D3H m'board
    Intel Pentium G840 2.8 ghz
    8gb corsair Ram
    ocz SSD 120gb
    NZXT source 210 case
    wd green 1tb

if i find i need it i will add a graphics card later, the system is just a general use - surfing, word processing, etc - no gaming, editing etc

    good choice?
