Depends on whats being run off it..... System spec first would help
then we can advise you further
other than that either of these would fit straight into any configured system
http://www.scan.co.uk/products/750w-...v-quiet-fan-at ( Med - High end system with med/heavy gfx psu power consumption ) 6950 upwards
http://www.scan.co.uk/products/550w-...an-atx-v23-psu ( Low - Mid end system with Light/Mid gfx psu power consumption ) 550Ti upwards
those are just a few for you to read reviews about

What sort of system specs have you got, and what's your budget?
Seasonic are still the best manufacturer of PSU internals on the market today - usually they're re-branded by others though.
Models by: Seasonic, Antec (some of the cheaper models are lower quality externally/cables), XFX, Corsair (but only particular TX models) are the best quality typically stocked by retailers because they usually or exclusively use Seasonic internals. If you can afford one, that's your best bet.
Examples ~600W (if you can find them in stock):

Other brands are ok (OCZ, be quiet!, Cooler Master, ThermalTake), but at roughly equal prices to the above, they're technically slightly inferior products for gaming and otherwise heavy use.

i'm currently using a CX600 in my current build and i've got nothing bad to say about it although its only been going since august. it's not very loud. i am torn between getting another one for my new build because it's met my needs so far or switching to a modular psu.
I would get one of the XFX PRO or OCZ ZS series CPUs over the current CX series.
+1 to OCZ ZS series.
I've never had experience with this power supply, I was about to buy a corsair PSU however I was on a budget, so I went with a OCZ OCZ 600 watt modexstream pro PSU. I was not disappointed, infact am glad I went with it, They're quite good for overclockers. Seems like a solid brand and one that offers a 3-year warranty. I was impressed at how quiet it was and the fact that it stayed cool!
More that the XFX and OCZ seem to use better capacitor companies and a ball bearing fan. The XFX PRO range is made by Seasonic and based on a higher end platform. Not to say the CX series is bad,but I prefer the XFX PRO and OCZ ZS range budget PSUs more.
However, not sure about the OCZ CoreXStream PSU though as these are low end HECs,which are a bit meh.

Just a bit of misinformation I'd like to correct for the benefit of others - Seasonic are a good PSU OEM but they aren't the only good one and aren't necessarily the best, just well-known. Some PSUs they make for other companies use cheaper components to meet their requirements, so just Seasonic OEM doesn't immediately imply it's flawless.
There are plenty of other brands that are far more than 'ok', including the ones you listed, especially their newer models - and similarly, some of Corsair's budget units are nothing special. 'Inferior for gaming/heavy use' implies some PSUs will impact system performance, which just isn't the case for any decent PSU. It takes more than a brand name and modular cables to make a good PSU.
@OP: I agree with CAT, nothing really wrong with the CX but it wouldn't be my first choice.
thank you both for all the information when it comes to picking my next psu ill take them into consideration.
oh also as you both seem quite informed on the subject is there a psu you would recommend.
im looking at around the £100 mark
thanks
3570k, mobo, gtx670, hard drive and ssd, watercooling pump etc
Are you intending to add another GTX670 in the future??
Edit!!
I would probably look at the following PSUs:
http://www.scan.co.uk/products/620w-...sfree-gift-fan
http://www.scan.co.uk/products/650w-...et-fan-atx-psu
http://www.scan.co.uk/products/650w-...t-fan-atx-v231
http://www.scan.co.uk/products/700w-...12v-tb-silence
You can get higher wattage PSUs but these might be OTT:

http://www.scan.co.uk/products/850w-...uiet-fan-atx-v
