    Exclamation Enermax Liberty 620w problem

Hi guys. For some reason my psu has started making a ticking noise today. As if something is against the fan. However I have stopped the fan and the noise has continued. Any ideas what it could be?

Psu is about 5 years old. Has been very reliable.

it could be a capacitor giving up but with it being 5 years old I would swap it before it takes the pc with it.

I'll pay for a quality psu. I won't need more than 700 watts. I won't pay silly money though.

    How about
    Fractal Design Newton R3 600W (£92 @ Dabs)
    http://skinflint.co.uk/fractal-desig...e-a815663.html
Modular, excellent voltage regulation, 80 PLUS Platinum efficiency, semi-fanless (fan doesn't even spin that fast in full load), 5 year warranty.

I think the be quiet Dark Power Pro 10 550W (£106 @ Scan) might be worth ~£15 more as it has a better fan and a huge choice of cables.

    Cheaper option:
    Seasonic G-550 (SSR-550RM) (£76 @ OCUK)
    http://skinflint.co.uk/sea-sonic-g-s...m-a830688.html
    Or the 450W version (£69 @ Scan):
