Fractal Design Integra R2 What you think

After much searching i have come to liking this PSU http://www.hardwaresecrets.com/artic...ly-Review/1688 http://www.hardwaresecrets.com/artic...ly-Review/1711

A 750w would be a total over kill so i may go for the 650w version. The price for a the 650w i can get for £52. The testing and reviews look very good for this unit .Im also considering a http://www.scan.co.uk/products/630w-...-atx-v23-psuas i have a Thermaltake TR2 550 which i used for the last 3 years

The main reason for a replacement is for when i get a new card possibly a 7870 or if i can afford the newer cards coming out with the BF4 bundle . I don't do overclocking or have a mega spec warped engined set up

Re: Fractal Design Integra R2 What you think

Seems to me that you are a bit confused. The first review link is indeed to the Integra R2, but the second review link is to the Tesla R2.

The Integra R2 is group regulated (+12V drops to 11.65/11.60 from 11.94 according to HWS), uses Teapo capacitors and a sleeve bearing fan and is 80 PLUS Bronze certified.
The Tesla R2 is independently regulated, uses a ball bearing fan, which spins below 1000RPM even on full load and is 80 PLUS Gold certified. It also uses Teapo caps, but there are also solid CapXons.

IMO it is definitely worth going for a Tesla R2 unit, but I would be less keen on an Integra R2. You can get one (Tesla R2) for £60 @ CCL Online or Amazon:
    http://skinflint.co.uk/fractal-desig...w-a815546.html

If £60 is over your budget then this is the next best thing IMO:
    OCZ ZS Series 550W (£50 @ Dabs)
    http://skinflint.co.uk/ocz-zs-series...w-a631078.html

It is independently regulated, uses Japanese capacitors and has reasonable fan control for the price bracket.

I agree that you should replace that TR2 550W unit as it has low +12V capacity for a "550W" unit. So even staying at "550W" with a high quality unit will see you gain much more potential power, and will easily be able to deal with your system with a 7870 added.
