    cheap budget psu wanted

    Hi building a system for my mother only problem is she wont let me pay for anything so I need a psu, it’s for a basic desktop with a couple of fans one hard drive and a dvd writer, will only be used about 1hr a day if that and only for web browsing 16Gb ddr3 and an old amd Phenom II X4 965 - 3.4 Ghz AM3 Black Edition CPU. so anything recommended ?

    This looked pretty good for the money...

    EVGA 600 Watt 80 PLUS Wired ATX PSU/Power Supply Black @ Scan £35.47

    Basic PSU from a very good brand, also I have not seen any reviews for it.

    I'm just wondering, have you already bought a case for the system? Because some cases come with PSUs, I know they're not the best, but for 1 hr a day, no gaming, they're close to perfect. No?

    Thanks my son gave his gran his old setup when he upgraded and the only thing missing was a psu and she won’t let anyone get one for her so I didn’t want to go overboard on getting one

    What's your budget? Generally a PSU is something you're better of doing properly rather than cheaping out.
