this thing will not turn on in my system i can get it to power on with a old mobo with a 20 pin connector but just does the above clicks and does nothing.

the corsair psu works fine bar the coil wine and got this psu so i could send it back as was for my new build but now have £300 of power supply's

what the heck are you getting 1100w psu for in the first place? Is it really necessary? You running dual Titans or something?

it was all that was in stock with 2 8 pin cpu power and got this to send back my buzzing corsair psu that works fine bar the coil wine!

and i got the corsair psu for my new thread ripper build just the be quiet dark power pro i had in it for 11 years crapped out the day i got it

Can you take the motherboard out the case and try using the PSU then, could be shorting out on something

it is the psu as the corsair one powers up the system fine

I would take all the cables out and make sure they are all in correctly, even with the motherboard psu connection with enough force you can get them the wrong way around, same for the 4/8 pin

i did that 2 times and made sure all of the connectors was pushed fully down and locked in place and even tried to swap round the 2 8 pin cpu power around and same thing it just clicks and does nothing.

Has the PSU worked in anything else? Can you jump it with a paper clip?

i have a old mobo with a 20 pin connector and the psu does power on with that but i have no way to test the 2 8 pin cpu connectors which i think is the problem as the corsair psu works fine and powers on the system.

It is possible to do, make sure the 8 pin connectors you are using are for the PSU and not the graphics card ones

the pcie cables are marked and all are connected to the right connectors it just does not work, i have done the rma now and is boxed up ready to go back to scan and see what they have to say as it will not work in my system.
