    Fully modular PSU with option for short cable set

    So it's been a while since i bought a PSU, the last one being this Silverstone Strider Plus 750watt i bought back in 2012 {its seen me through all the upgrades}

    I am looking at replacement becasue this one has now started to make a racket that i can not fix without opening it up.

    So i had a look at the 800w to 1000w range and the first thing that hit me was the cost, yeah thats a bitter pill but my other requirement is for the option to use a short cable set; now the silverstone has a few of these avaiable and it helps keeps the clutter down, so do you know of another that has this option ?

    Not sure who else is officially offering a short cable set but you could try the cablemod configurator. Though I bet it's pricey.

    If your profile system spec is current, then I'd say you wouldn't need more than a 650W PSU If that helps with pricing. Unless you're planning on upgrading in the future.

    Upgrade is on the cards though when is another quest with how much i've spent recently (new gpu and a rackmount case arn't cheap, and then they launch a 5u rack case that looks like it works better then the 4u )

    and yeah cablemod, just had a play and am looking at another $120 spend on top to get custom short cables, steep tbh for what they are, being that the short cable set i got for this was like £30 from silverstone.
