Antec Truepower 650R - what is it???

Hi all,

Don't worry, I know to avoid bad power supplies etc etc.! Which is kind of why I have this question.

I recently gained an old PC I've stripped down for parts etc. In it is a Antec 650W PSU. It is the Antec Truepower 650R (part number TPN-650R).

Curious as to it's OEM, quality etc. I've tried to find out, but can barely find a mention of it. Plenty on Truepower 650 (minus the R), but very little (ie nothing!) on this one (with the R).

It looks to be "well provisioned" as far as plugs go - with PCIe 6 pin, + PCIe 6+2 pin, 8 pin 12V + additional 4pin 12V, and about 6x sata and molex - which would suggest relatively modern design.

Anyone know anything about this / point me to OEM etc.? No plans to use it, just whether best scrapped (does seem to work OK, stable rails in quick power on test), or stick in a cupboard as an emergency backup.

It looks a bit like the EA380,ie,seems to have a back mounted fan. So I would suspect its made by Delta?

Great - thanks. So probably quite old (~2008), but pretty good but the looks of it. Probably hold onto it for emergency use in older systems then.
