New PSU time, very out of the loop!

There's been a recent wave of much cheaper ATX 3.0 PSUs from the likes of Seasonic, Corsair (I think) and Be Quiet. They look OK on paper but hard to really tell.

There's been a recent wave of much cheaper ATX 3.0 PSUs from the likes of Seasonic, Corsair (I think) and Be Quiet. They look OK on paper but hard to really tell.

Ultimately, I guess it comes down to which company (or companies) you trust, because sadly, that's exactly right, it's really hard to tell.

I would not expect to hit problems with any of those three, and if I had to go with a unit that's not Seasonic for some reason, those other two would be equal first on my list of where to start. In the absence of a good reason not to, i'd still go Seasonic but I doubt I could come up with a convincing reason, beyond that in my admtedly pretty limited personal experience, I've yet to have problems, so going anywhere else seems like taking a chance, however small, for no real reason. Also, being a lazy git, why even look elsewhere and do the work checking up, if I'm happy with Seasonic? That's good enough for me, but it's not a good reason for anyone else.
