another step in the wrong direction...
Really? you're gonna play that card? She highlighted "uncertainty at the least" on the future impact on young people's mental health from cannabis.
where are all the severely ****ed up kids of the 60's with mental health issues?
theyre among us, living among us, and many in places of authority...

And where are you getting this information? I have in the past smoked this drug before on numerous occassions and i can absolutely say that i have never had to steal anything to get hold of this drug, i earn an honest living and if i decide to spend a little on this recreational activity then so be it... dont brand me a Thief because i like to smoke a joint once in a while. Its not even the fact that it doesnt really do that much. Its more based on the fact that it funds organise crime, fuels thieves to rob peoples houses/possessions/cars and is generally a small step to other things.
By the same token, you would call people who like alcohol thieves and say it fuels crime? maybe a small percentage do, likewise with weed, but to tar everyone with the same brush is narrow minded.
No, its not the case, actually. I myself, have as i previously said, smoked this drug on numerous occassions, and i have never had the will to try anything harder, i also have friends with very much the same mindset. regardless of the classifications of the drugs, i just dont want to try anything harder...I would have money on it that anyone thats tried it has probably had something else aswell.
I would also think that the majority of the people, that dont want it classified as a harder drug in fact use it. Sorry to generalise but it is probably the case.
EXACTLY... Cannabis does little more than "chill out" the "user" (i use that term mildly, as you wouldnt call someone out for a quiet drink with friends an alcohol "user"). it poses no threat...The ONLY defence there is for it is that when was the last time someone staggered out of their house after smoking weed and started a punch up. As opposed to drink where it happens all the time.
all it needs it to be regulated and certain rules put in place so it doesnt get out of hand...
I.E. reaction times are slower, so there should be guidelines towards driving and operating machinery...
