Alarm clocks are far better, they need not be strident and are far safer. My mobile seldom tells the correct time and RF transmission sources should be kept well away from your head.

PDA plays me a nice MP3 & gently vibrates the mattress for me every morning Girlfriend requires a bit more coaxing to stir, unless I chose a particularily bad song...
2 Alarm clocks here too, an 11 year hang up from being late for work once at age 17.

I have to use 2 mobile phones (i'm not a drug dealer, one has no network!)
Tried using the PC, but I couldnt find a reasonable solution. Plus 250 watts seems a bit excessive for something to wake you up...
Use my mobile phone as an alarm clock; but always have to check the settings twice as using it gives me little confidence.
I set my mobile phone's alarm if I really need to be up early. That's extremely rare though as working from home means I can get up when I'm ready - although I'm usually awake by 9am anyway
Use both my phone and either phone radio or my computer - outlook coupled with a wav music file as my waking times can vary for when I'm in work...

Personally, I've a really nice oregon scientific alarm clock. But, I still use my mobile phone when I need an alarm - just find it easier to set, and turn off in the mornings!
