Natwest, simply because I got the account when I was doing some course when I was 15. I didnt need to go through all the hassle of ID etc etc (which at the time I never had). Never had any problems with them so am still there now.

I am currently with Intelligent Finance, but I am in the process of moving to Lloyds TSB. I recently went over my overdraft limit by a couple of quid, and there was no way to pay money into my Intelligent Finance account quick enough to stop them charging me. With a High Street bank you can just walk into a branch and give them a tenner! I also found them a bit nasty about charges, for instance once they charged me because they thought I didn't have the money in my current account to pay my credit card, however it was only because they ran their 'withdrawal' program before their 'deposit' program! So the money was ready to go into my account, but because they tried to take the money before they tried to pay the money into my account, they charged me.

    I better stop ranting now!
    (I hate banks!)

HSBC. Been with them for quite a while now. I've stayed with them cos I've always found their customer service to be excellent.

I have a Lloyds account too but I've never really used it, I don't rate them.

I am with First Direct they are a great bank never had a problem with them, they always answer the phone very quickly within around 1 minute, always helpful and never charged me for anything at all. I used to be with Lloyds and they were just crap. I also have a joint account with the Halifax and they are not that great either, mess us around alot on our joint account.
