Why No Help?
Ok,
"Someones" father in law aged 58 has been made redundant, a few days after that his Son is badly injured in Afganistan and has had to be at his bed side for the best part of 5 months, so has been unable to work (relucantley)
He has tried to get help from the government for any form of benefit that would be on offer bare in mind that this man has worked everyday of his life and the help wouldnt have been for long, only to be told "sorry we cant do anything for you"
I find it disgraceful that a fathers son who was fighting for his country is now being given no help at all, he cant sign on the sick, claim job seekers, nothin.
Anyone have any ideas on anything that could be of any help.
I cant fault the help his son has been given as that has been first class, but surely the family should be looked after across the board.
Many Thanks

Re: Why No Help?
Could he try applying for some sort of carers allowance? Not sure of the ins and outs of it though.
One thing is for sure, if he walked in to the job center with a needle hanging out his arm and a dirty teaspoon in his pocket he would get all the help they could throw at him.......
I agree, that it is disgraceful that there appears to be no help for him, in fact its bloody outrageous.....
