Can we have a third option: Yes, with a blunt spoon?

It's not like a cracker is ever going to be using that particular bit of their anatomy so it's probably wasted effort. Chinese water torture/death by papercuts would be 'better'.

    Ouch, that's painful.

Hackers who target benign places like Hexus aren't clever or big or making a statement. There are far bigger and more socially acceptable targets out there - go attack them if you have to.

the hacker we are all talking about is probably some unfortunate social outcast with nothing better to do than try and inflict his (surely its a guy ??) misery on others

hacking for profit is ok i spose e.g. gettin hold of software from Micro$oft before release and sellin it on (i'd do it, lol), but just randomly destroying people's hard work who provide a service for no fee is just unnaceptable

if war is the answer, then we are asking the wrong question

i would rather see people who write viruses or send out spam being Castrated with a blunt plastic fork. hackers at least make software developer to close the holes in the software. and getting hacked shouldn't be such a problem, cause every one who has a big website, etc should have daily backups, so its easy to get things running without a glitch. I had this at work twice and we recovered in 2 hours without much dataloss.

Spammers, virus writers and malicious hackers should be castrated with a swarm of flesh eating caterpillars!

Hackers that do no damage suppose they are ok providing they let people know what they did and how they got in etc.

umm btw your wrong tbh, hackers are the good guys, they dont hack to cause damage

Crackers are the bad ones, Crackers hack into places with narsty intentions.. hackers get pretty pissed off when people get this confused...
