Can you elaborate on "underemployed"? Do you mean working a job that doesn't challenge you, or working less hours than you'd like?
I've put unemployed because I'm (was) a full time carer for my 5 year old Daughter that is disabled that's not long started full time school so I have no started to think about getting a job
Someone left a note on a piece of cake in the fridge that said, "Do not eat!". I ate the cake and left a note saying, "Yuck, who the hell eats paper ?
Working a job which doesn't challenge you might be underemployed, certainly if it's in a different field from your qualifications.
Please only state 'Actively looking for work' if you are. If you haven't thought about getting a ob yet, that doesn't really apply. Perhaps the other unemployed should be 'Not Looking'.
hmmm - have to be awkward, but none of the above apply
Currently unemployed, but i am not "actively looking" and so hence "haven't given up"
Just decided to take 6 months of "career break/travelling" really don't fancy being around/working through the summer in London with the Olympics (and hence the travel disruptions/and Rapier surface to air missiles) on our doorstep

Heh, funny enough I've just handed in my resignation last week after over 7 years of being bored and not recognised in my current job. I'll still have 4 months minimum left before officially being unemployed, and I do plan on being employed else-where before then, but nothing's definate.
you missed an option.
hate my job but tolerate it as i cant find anything else, no pay rise for 4 years, underpaid and have the piss taken on a regular basis but still get expected to be more "flexible" then get told the fact i have a small child and need to be the one to take and fetch her from Nursery due to my wife earning nearly double my wage is holding me back.
anything else that comes close to my current job description holds a wage 10k higher than mine.

Im currently Employed in a job i hate more than anything in the world but i have just got a new job today with a hefty payrise so that worry is over.
Took me 6 months to find it and god knows how many interviews though!
A combination of self-employed and semi-retired. Right now, looking for work, but not looking that hard. And it has to be the right work.
