Yes, every 3-4 months, whenever i'm allowed.
No, never (plz explain)
Yeah, kinda, if I can be bothered
NOTICE: Zak aint never given blood.
If they came to me, I'd do it. If I have to go to them, I just won't. That is a bad bad mentality. But life is so busy, so hectic.
If a Blood Van came to my work I would do it. 100% So would most of my work mates. Its a feel good factor of knowing it heps someone. But as with human nature, if it puts you out of your normal stuff, and leisure time, its a no goer.
Sad innit?

i just figured its a good thing to do, cos if i ever had an accident and needed blood, i'd expect it to be there. i just feel sorry for the poor sod who gets my blood, it'd probably knock flat on their back for a week, hahaha.

Yep every 3-4 months. Due to give next week. I think having a few to drink after and before hand isn't wise. Me personally I can give without any side effects. One thing I have noticed though going for a run a upto a week after I find a bit more difficult than normal. I assume this is due to less red blood cells so less oxygen getting carried around.
Hm, actually I don't..hm, I guess I'm to young, at least I think I am But otherwise I would .

Spot on in terms of the after effects. Some people get more than others cos they have more blood to start with, but it's a good way of building fitness...same kinda thing as high altitude running!

My dad's the same, but not quite to the same level - when my sister was born, he ended up on the bed next to my mum as he passed out

I think I'm like Zak33, but in a different way:
I'm not the kind of guy who'd pass out in front of a needle, but I still don't like needles. If they made it REAL easy to do and REALLY accessable, then I'd proberly do it because I'd have no excuse. I shouldn't put my dislike of needles above giving blood. If a Blood Van came to my work I would do it. 100% So would most of my work mates. Its a feel good factor of knowing it heps someone. I agree with Zak.
I would love to give blood, but I am a busy guy and even after working in a hospital for 6 months I am not sure where to go to get it sorted. Why cant these blood vans be going to peoples work places, I would have no problem taking half an hour out of my working day to go and get blood taken, If they made it easier I am sure there would be a shed load of people giving blood.

Blood vans do go to people's places, but only if its arranged by an office. Just gte ur boss to sort it out & they'll make regular calls to any office every 3 months

I might actually ask my line manager about it, if they came to work, would be no bother.

I've never given blood, even though I've tried several times. For some reasons, I've relatively low blood pressure for a long time. Nowadays it is approaching normal, but still on the low side. To add to that, I've low blood sugar level, which means that loosing large quantity of blood and being active at the same time can give my serious migraines.

I used to give regularly. Unfortunately now, work tends to get in the way of the days they turn up here. About twice a month. If we had a drop in centre I would certainly go back to every six weeks.
To appease my concience I am also on the Anthony Nolan bone marrow register. Only had one call up so far (in 8 years), and I wasn't a match which was a shame.
Rob, do u hear from the bone marrow people atall? cos i signed up to be on the register, gave a sample etc & then never heard from them again, not even a confirmation type thingy...so i dont know whether to try signing up again, or what.
