The trivial cost of the islands isn't so, it's takes up a large chunk of the defence budget but this isn't normally declared. Excluding that then the islands make more money than they recieve I believe.

If, and I stress if that reference to "trivial cost" refers to my use of the same term in post #9, then I'd like like to point out that the trivial cost I was referring to was of holding such a small referendum, not the defence budget, which I agree is substantial.
Point to the part of the above chart that says Argentina has a valid claim.
I don't think the Argentines have a valid claim, but i think their point is that the Islands were gifted by Spain when the South American area formed its own countries, or left Spanish rule? Or something like that anyway.
