Re: Russia to build new super army! Ukraine, Human Rights and WW3
President Poroshenko and P.M. Yatsenyuk are declaring that Russian troops are on the ground and Poroshenko has cancelled a trip to Turkey following reports.
The UN Insecurity Council are to have an emergency meeting soon to discuss what has been reported by a NATO General as a ""significant escalation in the level and sophistication of Russia's military interference in Ukraine" over the past two weeks."
A rebel leader claims the Russians joining them are volunteers and not official troops.
Meanwhile:
"German Chancellor Angela Merkel demanded an explanation from Russia's President Vladimir Putin amid the reports of an incursion."
https://i.chzbgr.com/maxW500/4589418496/h088A7CA1/
"French President Francois Hollande said it would be "intolerable" if Russian troops were in Ukraine, and demanded that Russia stop sending aid to the rebels." -
Intolerable...hmmmm....

Re: Russia to build new super army! Ukraine, Human Rights and WW3
"Nato has accused Russia of a "blatant violation" of Ukraine's sovereignty, saying it is engaged in direct military operations to support rebels.
Secretary-General Anders Fogh Rasmussen said that "despite hollow denials", it was now clear that Russia had illegally crossed Ukraine's border.
He said Nato would respect any Ukrainian decision on security, after its PM said he was putting the country on course for Nato membership.
Russia denies sending troops and arms.
Russian President Vladimir Putin blamed the Ukrainian government for the crisis, comparing its siege of two cities held by separatists, Donetsk and Luhansk, to the siege of Leningrad by the Nazis in World War Two."
"Speaking at a news conference after a meeting of Nato ambassadors to discuss the crisis, Mr Rasmussen said that it was clear Russia had illegally crossed the border into Ukraine and was engaged in direct military operations there.
"This is not an isolated action, but part of a dangerous pattern over many months to destabilise Ukraine as a sovereign nation," he said.
"This is a blatant violation of Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity. It defies all diplomatic efforts for a peaceful solution."
He called on Russia to cease military action, stop supporting the rebels and "take immediate and verifiable steps towards de-escalation of this grave crisis".
Mr Rasmussen indicated Nato was open to considering Ukraine's application to join if it met the conditions."

It's such a shocking situation for Ukraine.
Poroshenko has asked to join NATO.
I hope they are allowed to become a member, it's Ukraine's only hope, because our wonderful politicians are doing exactly the same as what the west did when Hitler stated his invasions.... Nothing.
The world has a wimp in the white house.

4 posts, without any response.
And most of those posts are just repeating news available elsewhere.
This is turning back into a blog, not a discussion.. And you already have a blog.

You love to move, and play about with threads.
This thread, was in General discussion and I was told it had been moved to get "more airtime" a blatant lie that I knew at the time. You know as well as me moving to question time was a ploy to get less attention
A second thread was opened by a mod in General Discussion after another users opened a world war 3 thread
(reasons to fight), from which it was slipt which was later closed by a mod.
http://forums.hexus.net/general-disc...situation.html
http://forums.hexus.net/general-disc...-thoughts.html
The Animus opened a third thread about separatists.
http://forums.hexus.net/question-tim...paratists.html
then The MH17 flight shot down over Ukraine thread which you wanted to dissect again
http://forums.hexus.net/general-disc...r-ukraine.html
If you had just left the Original thread, in General Discussion in the first place, and not Opened, closed, split, moved, merged and re-opened, there would be 1 thread in general discussion that you know as well as me would have had a lot of attention.
So please merge Ukraine Crimea thread with this, and move it to general discussion like all the other threads of the same ilk.
Why you leave an Iraq thread but move the Ukraine / Russia thread is beyond me. Not only that but you also love to use your power as a mod making threats to permanently ban me, based on posts that are not in anyway infringing on hexus rules.
EDIT: Actually, I can see when I'm not welcome, that's it I'm leaving Hexus and the thousands I spend at scan.co.uk each year will go elsewhere.
I hope you are never put in a position where your life is effected by the Russians. A country with no free press, that is brainwashing their own people and some that are not their own apparently.
We should have learned after Chechnya 1. Louis Theroux's brother Marcel's documentary on Chechnya.

Re: Russia to build new super army! Ukraine, Human Rights and WW3
Scan and HEXUS are completely independent companies, but where you post and where you spend your money are decisions for you alone to make.
Your thread here remains open, I merely pointed out that repetitive posts on a single issue, when there is extensive national news coverage is not attracting much debate or discussion.
I am aware that you have personal connections with the conflict, and you have my sympathy, for why its worth, but that doesn't alter the fact that there is little interest in the thread, particularly when the situation is main stream news.
Re: Russia to build new super army! Ukraine, Human Rights and WW3
Following on from earlier posts, it seems that the first glimmerings of a resolution to the situation are in sight with a cease fire between the rebels and the Ukrainian Government.

Re: Russia to build new super army! Ukraine, Human Rights and WW3
McCain states Poroshenko had no choice but to accept the cease-fire and he predicts that it will prove to be just one more step towards Putin re-claiming/expanding a Russian empire. "The fact is that they were slaughtering Ukranians. There were hundreds killed, thousands in the hospitals. It's terrible. Poroshenko had no choice but to agree to a cease-fire."
Specifically McCain predicts that Putin will:
1 - Seek to separate eastern Ukraine from the rest of the country
2 - Perhaps a land-bridge to Crimea.
He described Putin's aims like this:
"We have to understand that Vladmir Putin's ambitions are the restoration of the old Russian empire."
"What [Putin] has said is that he wants novorussia, which is an old tzarist phrase, which means that he wants eastern Ukraine, he wants to make sure he keeps Crimea and he would like to see, if he can get away with it, Moldova and the Baltics as well, that's what he wants to see restored."

Just came back to post this as it needs posting because the mainstream media won't tell you what is happening.
Just in case anyone still has illusions about what Putin's aims are.

Munich Security Conference 2015. The only video you need to watch on hybrid warfare, pretty much confirms what I have been saying from the start. Wait for the end for (Russia Today's regular guest) Ken Roth's answer on Kiev shelling east Ukraine. He doesn't mention the false flag attacks, which have been documented, but he does a very good rebuttal.

Waiting on today's "peace" meeting in Minsk, even if there is a deal. I hold no hold of it holding 1000's of pieces Russian equipment in Ukraine and massive amounts of troops.
