    Conclusive proof Blair lied?

So, I take it some of you were awake today and noticed This and This (with an interesting google ad at the bottom)

I cant seem to find the full text on C4's site yet but it should be going up there, any thoughts?

Has Tony been caught out (again) ?

    Na, they get promoted..

Seriously, they all lie about nigh on everything, and do abrupt u-turns when it suits them..

The Tories haven't got any real policies other than the character assassination of Tony Blair at the moment, and the little they have mentioned is pure vapour policy anyway (it'd vanish in a flash if they ever got into power..)

Lib Dem's haven't really got enough going for them to get voted into Downing Street, (but I think I'd trust them over the Tories any day of the week), which basically leaves the Labour party or voting for indies (which wouldn't actually help anything at all), unless you're scottish and you vote for Mr. Connery's favourite party..

.. and people wonder why there's massive voter apathy in this country lol

Whether politicians lie or not is irrelevant.

I find the fact that Blair withheld the document from his cabinet deeply troubling.

I find it simply incredulous that people still want to see this man in power. Politicians lie, it's the nature of the job, but this is a blooper, imo, that is beyond redemption.

Well, I find the "the all lie" attiude to be pretty invalid imo, they may all lie but the result of those lies are not usually 10,000 (at least) dead people. Blair should be tried for war crimes.

    As the guy said
"Far from showing I reached the conclusion that to go to war would be unlawful, it shows how I took account of all the arguments before reaching my conclusion."

Did any of you pro-Saddamites actually read the articles or did you all just look for the 'Blair is a liar' bits?

    What..?

What are you talking about, he submitted a report with what his view was on the war, didnt sit well with Tony, several days later a half page summary shows up saying oh yeah war is all cool.

Now what do you suppose happened in Iraq between the time the first full report was submitted and the summary that warrented such a turn around? or do you suppose that its much more likely that goldsmith had more immediate factors on his mind, a prime minister that had already pledged our full backing to bush months earlier and was now finding that the country was never really gonna back it, much less the UN?

Is that really what you believe, i for one am proud that Mr Blair is man enough to stand up for what he and many believe in what was the right thing to do (despite what you read in the papers), i mean dont get me wrong people have the right to there own opinion, but in iraq there right was taken away by a man on a power trip, I think it says a lot about the fact that he knew the country would be split on going to war and he would probably lose votes in a result of this, but he committed the country to this course of action regardless of the above mention votes. and i totally agree with the post by Stoo that the tory didnt have any other policys apart from to attack Mr Blairs character, i mean the torys went into the gulf war so how they can attack a course of action they started in the first place (and Failed and soon lost power). that goes to show how much following the PM actually has. but back to the point of the topic, lies are a part of life sometimes you have to tell a few white lies for the greater good.

Steve, im not sure I can be bothered to reply, you clearly have so much faith in Blair you will belive anything he tells you and when it has been proven that he lied you will readily belive his nonsense about the greater good.

On that basis are we going to go to war with China for its human rights abuses and nuclear program?
