    interesting definitions of self-defense

Mr Baillie was questioned about photographs of an Orangeman clearly holding a brick in his hand and confronting police, to which he replied: “He didn’t have it over his head.”

I saw these mindless thugs on the news, throwing bricks at the police, shooting at them, throwing home made bombs, like a bunch of animals. They seem to be filling the gap the IRA have left, to get there minutes of fame on the news. I thought they were suppose to be loyalists, loyal to what it seems.

Oh aye brilliant idea, leave the majority of us being decent hardworking people to stew in the mess of a minority who were not brought up properly.

Thing is though, the "loyalists" now see themselves as the ones being discriminated against. They have seen that violence seems to work, i.e members of the IRA in goverment. Now they think they have the right to start their own violence to get noticed. Also there are the ones with nothing better to do so the rioting is a bit of good fun for them.

The other thing is people think its all to do with religion, which it quite clearly isnt.

Most of those so called "Catholics" and "Protestants" out there rioting havnt darkened a door of a religious building in donkeys (ages).

"Catholic" and "Protestant" is just a label over here that can get you beat up.

People over here generally don't think that the British goverment gives a stuff about them. Hence the rioting to get reconised.

Northern Ireland isnt a bad place, in fact its great most of the time. There are quite a few English and Scottish people who moved to my village and they love it here.

you adopted the euro, we'll show you how much we care about you now. MWAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAhAHHAHAhahahahahahahahha.

IRA are now in crime, which is the natural evolution from politics, and loyalists are rightly fealing that they've come out slightly worse, that we've some how given into the IRA even thou little has really changed, except terrorists are now in government, rather than government becomming terrorists.

Anyone who wants to hear my rev. (ha!) Iain Pasily impression, just make sure i've had about 4 pints, and we can play that game were by everything you say has to be in the style of the northon ireland peice process.

You my friend are an utter smacktard. Northern Ireland is part of the United Kingdom and hence uses British Sterling as its currency.

Clearly you care about that much to actually realise we use the same currency as you!

I don’t think that’s a game to be honest (come over here and try to play it with someone to see how long you last, its just a lot more krap your talking, much like the whole of this post, also, you spelt Northern and Peace wrong!

    I don’t find it funny,

I find it shameful that you can post in Question Time with such utter contempt and lack of regard for others feelings. Has it not occurred to you there might just be one or two people from NI on these boards? Would they maybe not find that offensive? I sure as hell do! As well as the offence of your post, little of it was comprehensive and what was comprehensive was actually true.

Problem is you dont hear much if any condemnation of it all from Northern Irelanders in the media.

That's because the media worldwide is so grossly selective as to what it shows on our loverly tv screens. Frankly you need your head looked if you believe what you see on screen is a decent portrayl of anything on the ground.
