    Sandisk Sansa Clip- Mini review

Well i just got one of these yesturday at currys and they had the black 2gb for £30 or the 4gb silver for £40, black looks good but for £10 more i chose the 4gb version. The player itself is just a tad bigger than the shuffle but it has a great 1"~ OLED screen which provides blue and yellowy orange colour(2 colours in total), the player is very light and felt as it i wasnt holding it which is good.

The design of the player is nice, the silver is very sleak and it just looks great as the screen blends in with it. The quality of the OLED display is impressive as it provides a good contrast while only being 1" its great for watchign the track information etc.
(very hard to get good pic of screen)

The buttons on the player are pretty sturdy, the main navigation is great but the center button doesnt feel as strong as it could(has one of them clicks to it) but its still good, volume control is provided by 2 joined buttons on the side and the power/hold is on a slider that is strong.

Navigation is easy with this player as its the simple designs where you just select music and play or make play lists etc, no issues with navigations yet.

Radio, the clip has a radio that so far has been good and it also has a voice recorder which i haven tried yet so cant coment on that. Along with just listening to the radio you can record it to.

Using with the pc isnt as easy as expected, you need to put the player on hold and then hold the center button down while connecting to the pc, no idea why its like that but it applies to some version NOT all as google has been telling me. Once your connected its very easy as its drag and drop, works with wmp11 so syncing is fine. Noticed that this player is pretty fast on the transfers as i was getting around 4mb/s with 1gb of music and that near my sandisk 8gb flash drive . Also firmware updates are easy to install as sandisk have software for it .
Heres a pic to show how big it is

    and the small use cable

Sound quality, although im not an audiophile i still like to listen to good quality stuff and so far the sandisk has provided this, almost as good as my speakers because it lacks a certain bass but that might just be my earphones(creative ep630) and i didnt really try the standard earphones, other than that id say the quality is 8/10 at least, very good for £40 player.

    Pros:
    Cheap at £40 for 4gb or £30 for 2gb
    Great 1" display
    Has radio
    Can record
    Quick transfers
    2 year warranty
15 hour battery life, played by 128kbp/s music(on the back of box)

    Cons:
Annoying way to connect to pc
SHould come with a case(loads of greasy marks )
    Still a £40 player
    Cheap earphones
    Very short usb cable(no joke)

In conclusion i believe this is THE best value player when compared to the ipod shuffle and creative zen stone/plus, offers 4x the storage of the normal shuffle and a screen along with a better battery at the same price. If your looking for a mp3 player thats good then this is the one.

    Total Score 9/10

Re: Sandisk Sansa Clip- Mini review

Oh god, pictures are for some reason WAY out of focus, getting new ones bare with me.
edited: the pics have been retaken but my camera seems to fail epicly against taking photos of this small player , would use the DSLR but its currenlty un avaliable. Might get a new camera at christmas.

    Hope you enjoyed the review.
