My First Build

Hi guys,
I am building a new pc (my first), hoping to boast an i5-2500k, but I want to start off with an intergrated GPU (+Z68 preferably) so I can gradually add components so i can get it sooner and overclock it and stuff. I've got my PSU, CPU, RAM, HDD, ODD and OS sorted. Can I have suggestions for a mobo and GPU please?

I have just done exactly this. Just ordered now.

I also wanted a Z68 so I could use the Integrated Graphics and overclock. Other than that the only thing I really wanted was a USB 3.0 header so I could have a USB 3.0 on the front of my case.
At first I was going to go for the Asus P8Z68-V LE. It was basically the cheapest Z68 mobo I could find with the USB 3.0 header. However, Scan are doing an offer where you can get the 2500k and Gigabyte GA-Z68XP-UD3P for £276 so I went for that instead. The mobos are quite similar except the second one is more stable for overclocking and just slightly better overall.

As for GPU, I was thinking of getting the Nvidia GFX 460 before I decided to start with the Integrated. Seemed a pretty good compromise between price and power. I think now I will wait a few months until I've done some research and/or a particularly good deal/offer comes around.

If I were you I’d get an Asus P8Z68-V or Asus P8Z68-V pro. I built a pc with an LE edition board but later found out it couldn't SLI which is a bit annoying if you plan on upgrading over time. The other boards only cost a small margin more and allow for better upgrading in the future.
