Re: new system build !!!
Do you really need an i7 why not get an i5 now and be done with it?

Re: new system build !!!
Are those the graphics cards you have at the moment, or the one's you are considering? If you're looking for a pc more aimed at data processing than gaming i'd assume the low spec cards give you the saving to put money towards an i7.
If you're gaming seems a shame to wait for and whack in a new CPU and then use a low/average spec graphics card.
5450 benchmark scores around 300 and the GT440 about 830
All the best

Re: new system build !!!
Could you specify what kind of things you want to do with the PC? i5 will be sufficient unless you need hyperthreading (which unless you do massive encoding, streaming, video editing and so on will see you no impact on performance).

i`m considering to buy that gt440 or gts 450 !
10x Matthammer !!
because of the price ! i3 is around 150$ and i5 is around 240$ ! the difference is 90$ that i don`t have for the moment but i`ll take ur advice !! 10 ristac !
it`s for last gta and some other games like last nfs , call of duty(i don`t know which one) ! the psu was the thing that i didn`t know !!! everything else i think work best ! i think that the rest ofthe system works jjust fine !!! 10x a lot ! to you all !!!

Re: new system build !!!
I run a 2600K at stock, playing BF3 on max settings etc uses about 40% CPU performance according to mr task manager. In reality an i5 would be more than adequate for most applications.
The jump from an i3 to i7 may need about 60 watts more from the psu.
If you are ever not sure what PSU to put in go and have a look at a good etailer, ie Scan, find a similar spec ready built system and see what PSU they are putting in...
In real world applications your components will not draw max wattage unless you stress the hell out of it by running apps meant for testing overclock stability, ie prime95 etc.
Get a GOOD QUALITY BRANDED PSU NOT A CHEAP AND NASTY in the 400-450 region and you should be fine, in actual fact you could go lower but giving yourself headroom for further expansion etc is not a bad thing

Re: new system build !!!
This thread comes down to two things:
1). What do you need it to do
&
2). How much £££ do u have to put in it
Answer this and people will be able to spec and kit out a PC build that will be perfect for your needs.
