That depends on your usage. For mainly video editing and sometimes gaming on 1080p, this build is quite decent.
what wattage EVGA Supernova G2 are you looking at?
What's the speed on the ram? how many sticks?
Unless you're dead set on water cooling (I'm talking custom loop not All-in-one coolers) and going Sli, then I'd say the air 740 is overkill/oversized, granted cases are personal a thing but you really don't need a case that big.
I'd personally go for the 1070ti rather than the 1070 (unless you've found a particularly good deal on the 1070) - there's very little difference in price, eg:

Concerns about the age of this architecture. I dunno what pricing is like but if you can score something newer it'd be a good idea. Bear in mind if you want something quiet then don't get the Vega 64. Mine was great value and is pokey enough but despite 3 big fans they spin fast and loud. Consider one of the newer cards or an AMD card as this is such an old model I expect driver support will be focussed on the RTX range now.

Insufficient knowledge. I do know that the Taichi range tends to be a catch all rather than being focussed at any particular group and I recently saw a very good review of one recently. Check to see if it has output for integrated GPU as frankly this is a very handy thing to have for trouble shooting if you don't have a spare GPU lying around.

I'd leave room for expansion here as frankly 500GB for OS, productivity and main games just doesn't last long these days. I'd avoid the 1TB drives for the moment as there seems to be a drop off in performance (I'm wondering if the controllers aren't quite up to it) on some drives and so myself I'd be considering two 500GB drives, depending on what your mobo has in the way of M2 holes.

I have a similar liquid cooling set up and I am very happy with it. BUT I wouldn't bother unless you're planning on overclocking or are obsessed with quiet running. It's a lot of money and it could go towards a better GPU. That being said if you want to fit one, fit it when you're building it as obviously you'll end up taking the whole thing apart to fit it later. It's one of those things that's a faff (or it was for me but I was in the earlier days of AIOs) but keeps my temperatures really stupidly low. Just remember to clean your rad occasionally and if your case is like my carbide that's an easy job. Just check your choice will definitely bolt into this case choice. I chose the same brand of case and AIO in order to ensure a fit but it may all be standardised. I honestly don't know.

I have a Corsair carbide case which seems similar to this but slightly less srubbishrubbishrubbishrubbishy looking. It is superb and really makes working on the thing easy. All the panels you need to come off come off easily and the screws are oversized and grippy so you can do it by hand if you just need to check a connection or something. It's big but assuming you're happy with the size I think these cases are absolutely brilliant and really well thought out. The ONLY downside is that mine requires the CD drive to be mounted sideways and my drive doesn't like that. I'm thinking of just using an external one. The other thing is that my radiator mounted in the top perfectly and so servicing it is just two screws (by hand) and the intake (dusty) side is revealed for cleaning which makes it a quick 1 minute job. Cable routing is also great.

I have heard bad things about the Supernova range, reconsider unless you have confirmed this is not an involved model. If you're looking for quietness then the Corsair RMx series runs fanless below a specific load (ie most of the time you're not having it choochin' hard) and has excellent electrical characteristics. https://www.anandtech.com/show/13220...018-psu-review
Thermal paste - I got some diamond dust stuff which was quite expensive compared to the competition but really it wasn't so bad when considering how much I was splashing out overall. Very difficult to use but I really do get excellent temperatures even under very high load and I suspect this stuff may be partially responsible.
Bad things about the Supernova G2? This is a rock solid power supply. Scored 9.8 on JonnyGuru, are you sure your thinking of this model??
Are you overclocking the CPU or running it at stock clockspeeds?
It was the Supernova name that triggered off something from the past. I'm not entirely sure which is why I said to check that the model he's looking at isn't involved. The G2 is on a list of tier 1 PSUs so I expect it wasn't but it's worth flagging up.Quote:
